    Rwanda Culture Promoters’ Initiative is a not-for-profit Events’ Management Organization that was created at the University of Rwanda in 2016 by Rwandan University Students, with the aim of promoting cultural diversity among African students from all around the World.

    Through www.rcpi.rw, Rwanda Culture Promoters’ Initiative has created a platform of interaction for African Students in Rwanda and Worldwide to promote cultural exchange, through storytelling, art, poetry, music, dance and events.

    MISSION

    Creating a leading network of young African change makers, through a set of annual cultural events designed to equip them with more interest, love and confidence in their Culture.

    VISION

    Strong foundation of young African Culture Promoters’ equipped with true values of cultural diversity, armed with so much confidence to develop their talents and passions, through cultural creativity, innovation and entrepreneurship.

    COUNTRIES

    Rwanda Culture Promoters’ Initiative is now operative in 21 Countries Worldwide, including: Rwanda, Uganda, Kenya, Burundi, Algeria, Mali, Mozambique, United States of America, Canada, Russia, Germany, France, Belgium, Italy, Poland, Turkey, Cyprus, Philippines, India, South Korea and China.

    UNIVERSITIES

    Rwanda Culture Promoters’ Initiative is operative in 36 Universities Worldwide. Our global representatives organize cultural events that unite African diaspora in International Universities, to celebrate cultural diversity.

    CULTURE

    Through our Annual Cultural events, we nurture awareness and celebration of cultural diversity by reviving some of the most joyful aspects of the African culture, and Rwandan Culture in particular. Those include: Traditional Dance, Poetry, the use of traditional music instruments, Imihigo, kwivuga, Imigani migufi, and so on.

    CULTURE AMBASSADORSHIP PROGRAM

    Through our Culture Ambassadorship program, we have been able to register over 52 Global Representatives of Rwanda Culture Promoters’ Initiative. Those Ambassadors are students and/or individuals who have volunteered to contribute to our Culture Promotion Journey as they represent us in their Countries of residence worldwide.

    RCPI’s team is made of an Executive Board, an Advisory Board and the Ambassadors of Culture who altogether work hand in hand to offer rich and varied services.

    I. EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE

    MUTARASISI Uwayo Christian

    Founder and Executive Director

    Mutarasisi is a Communication and Marketing Professional who currently works at Radiant Insurance Company. Passionate about events' management, he founded the RCPI in 2016. He is responsible for overseeing the administration, programs and strategic plan of the organization, fundraising, marketing, and community outreach.

    Deputy Director

    Mugabo is a Business and Project Management specialist who currently works at Rwanda Stock Exchange. He actively assists the organization with strategic planning and coordination of the organization's programs, projects, and policy positions.

    Nshimiyimana is a Communications’ expert who currently works at Global Initiative for Environment and Reconciliation. He is responsible for writing and distributing content to promote RCPI’s activities and events.

    Nsabimana is a prominent visual artist who currently works with Cube Communications Rwanda. He is responsible for strategizing and implementing the RCPI's marketing campaigns, social media content design and overall branding.

    Mr. Odilo is a Software Engineer and a graduate student at Carnegie Mellon University. His contibution is mostly on how we can leverage technology in promoting and safekeeping Rwandan culture.
